Donut Holes
- 2 cups Bisquick
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Preheat the Oven. Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a mini muffin tin or line it with mini muffin liners to prevent sticking.
- Mix Dry Ingredients. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of Bisquick, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice. Stir these together until well blended.
- Add Wet Ingredients. Add 1/2 cup pumpkin puree, 1/4 cup milk, 1 large egg, and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until the batter is smooth and evenly combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Fill Muffin Tin. Spoon the batter into the prepared mini muffin tin, filling each cup about three-quarters full for perfect donut holes.
- Bake. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the donut holes are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve. Remove the donut holes from the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy warm or at room temperature, optionally dusted with cinnamon sugar.
Notes
- You can substitute pumpkin pie spice with a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger if desired.
- For a lighter texture, you can replace vegetable oil with applesauce.
- These donut holes freeze well; store in an airtight container for up to 1 month.
- To make a glaze, mix powdered sugar with a little milk and vanilla extract and drizzle over cooled donut holes.
